Purpose: This exploratory research was intended to examine the mediating role of the intellectual capital (IC) dimensions, i.e., human capital (HC), structural capital (SC) and relational capital (RC) in RMG industry Lahore, Pakistan.Design/Methodology: Based on convenience sampling technique 250 questionnaires, including 22 items, were distributed among the industry experts. Data was collected from 200 respondents. Smart PLS 3 software was used for conducting analysis such as regression, internal consistency and mediation tests. Reliability and validity were checked and verified.Findings: Two out of the three hypotheses showed significant results. HC and SC positively mediated the relationship between leadership development practices (LDPs) and organizational Innovation (OI) while RC does not. Structural capital more strongl.....

Woven Seamless of clothes between Ancient Egyptian histories in the textile industry is one of the oldest in the world. The oldest known textiles, which date back to about 5000 B.C., are scraps of linen cloth found in Egyptian caves. This project analyzed the physical-mechanical performance of plates and pavers with the incorporation of waste originated from the sorting process in the city of Blumenau, SC, Brazil. The waste consisted of organic waste, polymers, paper, glass and textile materials which were reduced in size (2.4mm to 19.0mm) and then used to replace natural aggregate at different ratios: 5%, 10%, 20% and 30%. The consistency of the fresh mortar and the physical-mechanical indices, the apparent specific gravity, water absorption and compressive strength of the hardened mortar were determined. Scanning electron microscopy analysis and flexural strength tests were also conducted. The bulk density of the plates and pavers ranged from 0.8 to 1.6g.cm-3 and 1.78 to 1.84g.cm-3 respectively. In the case of low incorporation of waste, both materials presented wat.....

As treatment of dye plant effluent is becoming a mandatory requirement, search for cheap and best technology is progressing. Different treatment methods like filtration, flocculation, chemical precipitation, ion exchange, membrane separation and adsorption are being used in Industry. The adsorption process is one of the efficient methods to remove the contaminant from the effluent. New approaches based on the use of natural, inexpensive sorbent materials for effluent treatment are reported often. Areca husk fibre, a commonly available agriculture waste, is predominantly composed of hemicellulose. Dye solutions of different concentrations were prepared and a known amount of areca fiber as adsorbent was added to study the effect of concentration of dye solution and effect of the amount of adsorbent on the percentage of removal of direct dye.....

This paper studies the dyeing properties of wool fabrics dyed with madder roots, chamomiles, pomegranate peels and apple tree branches (obtained after pruning) barks aqueous extracts. We have thoroughly investigated the effects of dye bath pH and mordants on the color properties of the aforementioned fabrics. Even without mordanting the wool fabrics dyed with the pomegranate peel have the highest value of colour strength (K/S=14). Mordanting permits to produce different colors and improve the fastness of a dye especially for madder roots, chamomile and apple tree branches bark. Experimental results show that the fastness properties of dyed wool fabrics range from average to excellent even without mordanting......

Since the 1990s the Internet affected different industries and forced firms to change their business models and pushed toward the adoption of new strategies. The same happened in fashion industry, where e-commerce, personal computers, and smartphones created the opportunity for fashion firms to be closer to their customers, adopting CRM, and multichannel or omnichannel strategies. The main aim of this study is to analyze the potential conflicting presence of online and brick-and-mortar strategies in the fashion industry. We used a representative sample of 19 large firms in Europe, operating in the retailing brand fashion industry. Our data analysis shows how leading firms, facing a disruptive technology (the emergence of e-commerce), have been able to absorb it, in a context of co-existence between online and brick-and-mortar strategies.....

The quality of the undergarments is a combination of design and materials of the desirable products for intended use and the
target market. No one will buy a product of poor quality or with any visual defects. The industry critically depends on the factories,
the complex supply chain, and if the best procedures are maintained in their quality control systems. A good quality control system
maximizes production according to specified requirements in the first attempt. To achieve an acceptable level of satisfaction, quality
control is important for design quality, colors, suitability of products, stylistic approach and brand name impact on the market. The
most common reason for fabric breakage on cheap undergarments is the fact that there are no set quality standards for most of the
cheap products. The consumer checks the quality.....

The number of companies manufacturing and selling textiles
based on hemp fibers are gradually increasing worldwide. Hemp
fabric or hemp textiles are made from cannabis sativa fiber or
industrial hemp. Being a natural, renewable and biodegradable
material, hemp enjoys obvious advantages over synthetic textile
materials like acrylic, polyester, nylon and spandex used for making
fabrics.
Hemp creates one of the most eco-friendly fabrics in the world.
Hemp requires no pesticides or herbicides, controls erosion of
the topsoil, and produces oxygen. It is a renewable resource that
can be cultivated in as little as 100 days and is the world’s most
versatile fiber. In comparison, cotton is more water-intensive and
takes longer to reach harvest age and produces less.....
