Professor Kou Pin, Cheng is the founder of the Textile and Material Industry Research Center (TMIRC) at Feng Chia University since September 2013. He worked for the Department of Textile Engineering and Molecule Science Engineering since 1985 until 2008, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT); and Department of Fiber and Composite Materials (FCM) of the Feng Chia University (FCU) from 2008 till now. Presently, he is also working as Chairman, TMIRC, College of Engineering, FCU. He has earned a PhD degree in Textile Engineering from Feng Chia University in 1988. He also visited Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) in UK and Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT) in Japan as the Visiting Scholar. His research interest is in the areas of Textile Engineering, Functional Fiber, Polymer, Composites, Intelligent Textiles, Recycle Fibers Applications, and Experimental Design Method etc. He is using FLIR Thermal Image Camera, Qmax, DSC, TGA, FTIR, SEM, Thermal Conductivity and Diffusivity measurements since 1998 for research and education in Functional Fiber, Yarn, Fabric, Polymer, Film, and Composites Structure, Constitutions analysis and their applications. He has published more than 400 scientific papers in international and local journals and over 400 scientific papers in international and local conference worldwide. He has authored over 30 patents on Functional Fiber and Composites related fields. He is working for various reputed international and local journals. He is also integrated more than 31 Fiber and Textile Cooperation Chains to create the novelty functional and intelligent fiber and polymer products. He applied over 10 projects every year and got budget from Government and Industrial about 2 million USD within 5 years’ project which involved fiber and composites products. He has been involved in active academic, society and industrial consultancy since his inception at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) and FCU. He is actively involved for organization of seminars, forum, workshops, visited for students of FCM, NTUT, and TMIRC. Dr. Ng received his Ph.D. and M.Des. degree from the Royal College of Art, London. He earned the first Practice-led PhD in Fashion Womenswear in the world. In addition, he holds an Executive MBA degree. Dr. Ng was appointed a fashion expert of the UNIDO for a two-month consultancy mission at DPR Korea after a worldwide recruitment exercise. In 2003, Dr. Ng was invited as one of the keynote speakers at the Shanghai Fashion Week. Dr. Ng is an academic, design researcher as well as a design practitioner, practicing across fashion, textile, graphic, interior and product designs. He has published more than 200 papers in refereed academic journals, trade journals, and refereed international conference proceedings. He holds several invention patents, and his creative works have won tens of design and research awards, many of which are seen in various exhibitions, shows and TV coverages. He served as a member of the editorial board of various design research journals and has been invited referee for top-notched SCI-indexed international journals and vetter of business plans. Dr. Ng is invited Adjunct Professor and Visiting Professor of a few universities of mainland China. He is listed in various Who’s Who directories. Dr. Ng is a Life Fellow and Past HK Chairman of the Chartered Society of Designers, UK, Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, UK, a Fellow of the Textile Institute, UK and Life Fellow and Founding Director of Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel.
Research interest of Dr Ng is to deploy technologies towards innovative ends, e.g., bio-fashion, interactive fashion, creative light-emitted textile imaging with polyester optic fibre, innovative full-colour compound structured digital Jacquard textiles, foam lace, metallic fabrics, seamless fashion.
Ayub Nabi Khan obtained his bachelor degree in Textile Technology from the University of Dhaka. He obtained M.Sc & Ph. D degree in Textile Technology from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology UMIST, Manchester, U.K. under Commonwealth Scholarship and fellowship plan. Prof. Khan became the 1st Pro Vice Chancellor of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), Bangladesh in 1st November 2012. He has 28 years long service experience in teaching, research and industry. He rendered his service for more than 20 years in different universities of home and abroad. Before joining he was Principal of country’s first Public Private Partnership educational institute named National Institute of Textile Engineering & Research (NITER) of University of Dhaka. Under his able leadership this institute became a viable organization which was in a dilapidated condition for a long time. He was Faculty member & Head of the Department of Textile Engineering, of different Universities of Bangladesh. He worked as Student Demonstrator of Dept. of Textile Technology, UMIST, Manchester University, UK. He is Research supervisor & external examiner of M.Sc & Ph.D students of different Universities of home & abroad. He is nominated as Syndicate member of the Bangladesh University of textiles (Butex) by the Chancellor and His Excellency the Honourable President of the Peoples’s Republic of Bangladesh. He is Textile Expert of Ministry of Textiles & Jute, Govt. of Bangladesh; Public Service Commission, University Grant Commission. Group. He was the 1st engineer of a group to produce ‘Lycra Core’ yarn, ‘Polyester Core’ yarn and ‘Slub’ yarn in Bangladesh. He also worked as technical consultant for different textile Mills of the country. He worked as a National Expert under EU/UNIDO funded project named Bangladesh Quality Support Programme. Currently working as Project Coordinator of “CSR, SRHR and Innovative leadership in the RMG sector in Bangladesh”, NICHE/BGD/199, Funded by NUFFIC, Netherlands. He is associated with European Union funded project titled “Sustainable Market Actor for Responsible Trade”. LI Li is Associate Professor in Institute of Textiles & Clothing of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She teaches subjects from undergraduate to doctoral level relating to functional textile design. She is currently supervising 9 PhD students. Li has many years industry experience in knitwear design industry with positions from senior design to design director before join PolyU. Now her main research interests are highly multidisciplinary, spanning fashion design, technical design and fundamental textile studies. Lis research outcome is recognized by both the academia and the industry and generates a great impact on fashion business. She has published over 50 research articles. Most of them are world-leading and top-tier textile journals, including The Design Journal and Textile Research Journal. Over the past 8 years, she received seven research related awards, including the overall Champion in Arts of Fashion Foundation Competition, Golden Award in 44th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and GRF Awards. On the basis of her research track record, she has always been invited as keynote and invited speaker, committee member, and track judge of several international fashion competitions. Her academic research deliverables have also been patented and successfully licensed to the industry for commercial use. Li Li has successfully collaborated with various local and international brands and apparel companies in a number of research projects. She has also served as consultant for several textile based manufacturing companies.

Mohd Rozi is an Associate Professor in the field of textile science and technology. He has served the faculty as a lecturer and researcher for 17 years. Prior to being an academic staff, he worked in the textile industry for several years at the middle management position. He is now actively involved in postgraduate supervision, conducting research and offering services to the industry and community. Mohd Rozi has received several research grants in textile mechanics, yarn technology and natural dyes, obtained from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia. Currently, he is supervising several postgraduate students and has produced several MSc and PhD graduates. He also teaches undergraduate students in yarn production technology, technical textiles and supervising them in final year projects.

Shadi graduated in 2005 from RMIT University. She was awarded an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) to develop recyclable self-reinforced composite. Shadi finished her postdoctoral at CSIRO and PolyNovo Pty Ltd, focusing on biomaterials for human application. She joined the Centre for Materials Innovation and Future Fashion (CMIFF) at RMIT University as a material scientist in 2012, since then she has conducted number of research projects on advanced materials for protection and smart textiles. Her research interests include biomaterials, polymer and fibre composites, nanocomposite, protective clothing, medical and smart textile.

Sabahattin Deniz was born in Istanbul-Turkey. He is currently working at Marmara University, Faculty of Technology, Textile Engineering Department. He was graduated from Gazi University (Ankara-Turkey), Faculty of Sciences, Chemistry Department in 1999. He took the Ms.C. and Ph.D. degrees at Marmara University, Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences, Analytical Chemistry in 2003 and 2011 respectively. His research areas including chemical treatment of wastewater and recycling, chemical analysis, and nanoparticules. He completed his PhD at "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of IASI, in 1985 and subsequently worked as a researcher and the head of the textile division, and then head of the studies department in the General Establishment of Textile Industries in Damascus, Syria, a lecturer in Damascus University at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, assistant director of the Directorate of Manufacturing and Chairman of Scientific Research and Industrial Development Department in the Military Housing Establishment (MILIHOUSE), and then director of Manufacturing Directorate. She has authored more than 170 articles published by international and national journals, and international conference proceedings, from which 39 are ISI certified. She took part in 21 national and 9 international research projects; in 16 of them, she held the position of coordinator or project/partner manager. She is an active member of editorial offices for magazines such as Textile Progress and Scientific Journal of RTU: Material Science- Textile and Clothing Technology. She manages the demanding and challenging task of leading the pedagogical development and strategic growth of all the design programmes at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore with an enrolment of over 1000 students. Under her leadership, the Faculty of Design has garnered international recognition and has won major design awards, achieving great success at regional and international design competitions and showcases including Crowbar Awards, Furniture Design Awards, Red Dot Awards, Young Ones New York and D&AD New Blood and Graduate Fashion Week in London. Nur has also initiated several collaborative partnership projects with different design institutions. She has also presented a research paper at the Ubuntu International Design Symposium 2011 in Seoul, which covers The Role of Design Education and another research on Collections, Fashion Curating and the Rise of Fashion Exhibitions in Museums. SnezanaStankovic is an Associate Professor in the Textile Engineering Department at Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Textile Technology from the University of Belgrade. She has 25 years long experience in teaching and research. She teaches subjects from undergraduate to doctoral level relating to spinning technology, knitting technology, clothing technology, and developing of clothing patterns. Wenyan Gu obtained her B.S. degrees in 2000 from the Department of Textile Engineering, Nantong Institute of Technology, China. She received the M.S.and Ph.D. degree in 2005 and 2008 respectively, from the College of Textile and Garment, Jiangnan University, China. In 2008, she joined Nantong University, China, in the School of Textile and Clothing. From 2008 to 2011, she worked in the Department of Textile Engineering, focusing on numerical simulation and modification of staple fiber processing instruments. She has worked in the Department of Nonwoven Material and Engineering as Associate Professor since 2011. Currently, she serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology, and a Senior Member of China Textile Engineering Society. Hany Mohamed Helmy Ahmed was born in 29 January 1970 in Dokki, Giza, Egypt. Beginning his college studies at Helwan University, Prof. Dr. Helmy earned a bachelor of Applied Arts in 1992, and master of Applied Arts in 1998, and receiving a Ph.D. of Applied Arts in 2004. He specialized in dyeing of textile fabrics and he has got postdoctoral scholarships at North Carolina State University (NCSU) for about 2 years. At National Research Centre (NRC), he was a research Professor from Jan 2017 till now. A greet part of Helmy was devoted to advancing insight into structural features and reactivity of Fibrous and non-fibrous textile materials. Innovation of such materials has necessitated conducting basic and applied research pertaining to the chemical modification treatments of fibrous materials, e.g. cellulose, wool, polyester and polyamide using plasma and ultrasonic techniques. His research activities in technology of textiles coloration have been maintained at a high level for 22 years. Recently, he has harnessed nanotechnology and biotechnology in development of fibrous and non-fibrous textile colouration. These activities resulted in over 32 papers published in well known scientific journals of international repeat.

Salah Mansour Saleh was born in 12Fab. 1960 in Cairo, Egypt. Beginning his college studies at Ain Shams University. Saleh earned a Bachelor of Science in 1982, and got his Master of Science (analytical Chemistry) in 1992, and receiving a Ph.D. of Science (analytical Chemistryin 1998). Saleh was a research professor and head of textile chemistry Dept. at Cotton Research Institute from 2012 till now. Saleh specialized in dyeing and finishing of textile fabrics (cotton and its blends). A greet part of Saleh was devoted to advancing insight into preparation of nano materials from wastes like nano cellulose and nano proteinand application into textile materials. Such Innovation of these materials has necessitated conducting basic and applied research pertainingto the chemical modification treatments of cotton fiber, yarn, fabric and its blendsusing plasma, microwave and ultrasonic techniques. Saleh was twenty five years of professional experience in dyeing, printing and finishing development of textile and woven fabrics. He was In-depth knowledge of textile dyeing, printing, and textile manufacturing processes. Saleh published over than 35 papers in well-known scientific international journals, one book, and he has two patents. Saleh was editorial board for two other international textile journal.

He completed his Diploma in Textile Processing in the year 1996 from Erode Institute of Technology, India. He graduated in B.Tech. Textile Technology from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, India in the year 2000. He aced the GATE Examination with 83.21 percentile [All India Rank: 93] in the year 2003. He received his M.Tech. Degree in Textile Technology in the year 2005 from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University Campus, Chennai and completed his Ph.D. degree in Medical Textiles from Anna University in the year 2011 under the supervision of Dr. R.V. Mahendra Gowda. He served as Joint supervisor for 3 Ph.D. scholars under Anna University and Supervisor for 1 Ph.D. scholar under Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He disseminated his research results through regular publications in scholarly and peer reviewed Journals.
