Stephen Nelson earned his undergraduate degree in biology from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, graduating valedictorian and summa cum laude. This was followed by a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from University of California, Riverside, and then an MD from University of California, San Diego. He then completed his Pediatrics Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas and then worked as a Pediatrician for 1 year a Los Angeles Air Force Base. He then completed a Pediatric Neurology Fellowship at Stanford University. He then was Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, and during that time started working part-time for Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana as a Pediatric Neurologist. He then moved to Bethesda, Maryland where he served as Program Director of the Pediatric Neurology Fellowship, and Director of Child Neurology, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Since the beginning of 2014, he has been full-time at Tulane University School of Medicine as the Section Chief of Pediatric Neurology, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry, as well as Medical Director of the Tulane Center for Autism and Related Disorders.
His research interests are in the genetic causes of epilepsy, treatment options for intractable seizures, the molecular basis of developmental brain disorders, prenatal causes of cerebral palsy, management of intractable headaches, and others.
Ronn Johnson is a licensed and board certified psychologist with extensive experience in academic and clinical settings. He is the Director of the Western Region of the American Board of Clinical Psychology. He has served as a staff psychologist in community mental health clinics, hospitals, schools and university counseling centers. The University of Iowa, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Central Oklahoma, and San Diego State University are among the sites of his previous academic appointments. In addition, he is an adjunct professor in the Homeland Security Department at San Diego State and the California School of Forensic Studies at Alliant International University. He founded several counseling centers that currently serve racially diverse populations. These sites include the Urban Corp of San Diego County, Southern California American Indian Resource Center, Community Allies for Psychological Empowerment, and the Elim Korean Counseling Center. Professor Emeritus Radu Mutihac is Chair of Medical Physics, University of Bucharest, and works in Neuroscience, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, and Artificial Intelligence. As postdoc/research associate/visiting professor/full professor he has conducted research at the University of Bucharest, International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Italy), Ecole Polytechnique (France), Institut Henri Poincaré (France), KU Leuven (Belgium). Data mining and exploratory analysis of neuroimaging time series were addressed during two Fulbright Grants in Neuroscience (Yale University, CT, and University of New Mexico, NM, USA). His research in fused biomedical imaging modalities was carried out at the Johns Hopkins University, National Institutes of Health, and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, MD, USA. Since 2008, Prof. Mutihac has been nominated PhD student supervisor in the field of Biophysics and Medical Physics at the University of Bucharest, Romania. Prof. Mutihac is member of the ISMRM, ESMRMB, OHBM, Romanian US Alumni Association, and fellow of Signal Processing and Neural Networks Society IEEE, as well as referee for several journals of the Institute of Physics (London, UK), Neural Networks (Elsevier), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, and evaluator/expert for the ISMRM, OHBM, ARACIS, CNCSIS, UEFISCDI, The Romanian – U.S. Fulbright Commission, and the European Commission (FP7, H2020). Sergio Zanini was borned in Udine, Italy on April 3rd, 1972. From 1978 (Aug) to 1988 (Dec), I was employed by Astra Läkemedel AB with the position of Head of CNS Drugs when I left to take up my appointment as Professor and Chair of Biological Psychology, Gothenburg University. My approaches in research include the involvement of philosophy of science in research which gives looking, and thinking in depth. I have developed several hypotheses in medicine such as the role of white matter in initiating diseases such as diabetes. He left ICRC. for Public Sector Hospital; Lady Reading Hospital which is 3000 beds Teaching Hospital. In 1997, He was transferred to Postgraduate Medical Institute-Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar as Head of the Department; where he working to date. In the year 2008, He was also declared Provincial Coordinator for Rehabilitation of Physical Disabled in the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa-Pakistan. In 2014, He succeeded to get approved a plan from the Government to extend Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation facilities to 25 District Headquarter Hospitals of the Province. The main theme was, “that we cannot prevent Physical Disabilities until, unless will not provide rehabilitation facilities to doorsteps level” i.e., District Headquarter Hospitals. In 2015, this project was implemented where equipment and human resources were provided. Now by the year 2016, 50 physiotherapists are on job and 20-45 patients/physical disabled are benefited as such 150000 patients are being facilitated annually to minimizing physical disabilities in the province at large. The Khyber Pakhtunkhawa is front line province in the war against terror where disability ratio is more than everywhere. It is his Life Achievement Scheme successfully implemented where he is Project Director of the same as “Strengthening of Rehabilitation Services for Physical Disabled, Health KP”.
