J. Anthony von Fraunhofer is Professor Emeritus, University of Maryland. He has a BSc with honors in chemistry, an MSc and a PhD in metallurgy (Sir John Cass College, University of London) with Chartered Scientist, Chartered Chemist and Chartered Engineer designations from the United Kingdom Science Council. He holds Fellowships in the Academy of Dental Materials, ASM International and the Royal Society of Chemistry. After several years in industrial R&D, he joined the faculty of the University of London and eventually chaired the Department of Biomaterials Science at the Institute of Dental Surgery; He also taught courses and performed research studies in corrosion science, metal finishing and paint technology at the Polytechnic of the South Bank, London. He was recruited to the University of Louisville in 1978 and moved to the University of Maryland in 1994, retiring as Professor Emeritus in 2008. He is an Internationally-recognized expert in biomaterials science, corrosion science, metal finishing and paint technology. He has written over 400 scientific papers, 17 books, and contributed chapters to 14 monographs. He has delivered over 140 research presentations at National/International meetings and lectured and presented courses and seminars in the United States, England, Continental Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Robert William Frare is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. His post graduate training includes the completion of a Fellowship for Developmentally Disabled Individuals at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, General Practice Residencies with the Veterans Administration Hudson Valley Health Care System and Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn New York. He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Departments of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health Sciences at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, and is currently a full time Clinical Educator at New York University College of Dentistry in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology, & Medicine. Andy Choi is an early career researcher who received his Ph.D. from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia in 2004 on the use of computer modelling and simulation known as finite element analysis (FEA) to examine the biomechanical behavior of implants installed into a human mandible (jaw). After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Choi expanded his research focus from FEA to biomaterials and nanocoatings, in particular, calcium phosphate-based nonmaterial’s for biomedical applications such as drug delivery and tissue engineering. Dr. Choi has extensive experience in the sol-gel synthesis of multifunctional bioceramic nanocoatings and nanocomposite coatings for dental and biomedical applications. His skills also expanded to the mechanical characterizations of these coatings using techniques such as nanoindentation. In late 2010, Dr. Choi was successfully awarded the internationally competitive Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowship Award and undertook his post-doctoral training at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong focusing on the application of FEA in dentistry and the development of calcium phosphate nano-bioceramics. To date, Dr. Choi has authored 50 publications including 3 books and 24 book chapters on calcium phosphate, nano-biomaterial coatings, sol-gel technology, and finite element analysis in nanomedicine and dentistry. At the moment, he is an associate editor of the Journal of Australian Ceramic Society (ISSN: 0004-881X) and as a guest editor for the Journal of Healthcare Engineering (Special Issue: Functional Coatings and Thin Films for Dental and Orthopedic Applications, ISSN: 2040-2295), and as a member of the editorial board in a number of dentistry and nanotechnology journals. In addition, he also served as a local Advisory Committee in the 16th Australasian BioCeramics Symposium (ABC) in 2016.

Wael M. Al-Omari is the former dean of faculty of dentistry and currently a professor of prosthodontics and dental education at Jordan University of Science and Technology. Naafs is a Dutch internist-endocrinologist with a long clinical career in internal medicine and endocrinology .His Ph.D Endocrinology was obtained at Leiden University (1988) and focused on the renal end-organ resistance to PTH (Parathormone) infusion in normo-and hypercalcaemic patients with solid tumors secreting a PTH-like factor. Other area’s of interest are clinical pharmacology where he was in the front of clinical research of transdermal nitroglycerin patches.(1984) Recently he participated in the standard book project “Drug Discovery and Evaluation: Methods in Clinical Pharmacolgy “Eds Hock.F.J,Gralinski M.R 2nd Edition,,2017,Springer Verlag, providing the section “Pharmacodynamic Evaluation: Endocrinology “. In infectious medicine he was one of the first to report about HIV-2 infection (1990) Experience in HIV,MDRTB and tropical Infectious medicine was acquired during a one year stay at Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital,Umthata,South Africa.( 2008). At present he works as an independent health consultant (Naafs International Health Consultancy ) and as a Medical Writer. He started his interest and training in Implantology in 1990, traveling to Argentina to gain knowledge about the new tendency in Dentistry all around the world. He completed his post-graduation studies in Teachings and Didactic s in 1995 and received the title of "Specialist in Education”. After his Residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1997 he started his Doctorate in OMS and received his PhD degree from Pontiff Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, School of Dentistry, Porto Alegre - Brazil studying Bone Repair. He was accepted for a 2-full year training in OMS at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas - TX, EUA under Dr. Larry Wolford´s tutelage. In 2008 he was the first South American to enter the American Society of Temporomandibular Surgeons. In 2005 Dr. Stevao brought to Brazil and legalize the TMJ total joint prosthesis (TMJ Concepts System) being the first surgeon to perform TMJ total joint alloplastic replacement in Brazil. He successfully completed the NBDE in 2015 obtaining the title of Doctor of Dental Surgery in the USA. He has been invited to lecture all over the world about complex Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Besides his three books already published he wrote and published himself the first illustrative book about TMJ Surgery launched in 2014, Chicago - EUA and has several publications in international journals. He is the Director of the Institute of TMJ and Orthognathic Surgery at Curitiba, Brazil, effective Consultant and Reviewer of Full Dentistry in Science Journal, Associated Editor of Advances in Dentistry & Oral Health Journal, Member of the Brazilian Society of Dentistry Research, former President and Honorary member of the Brazilian Academy of Piezosurgery.
