Crystals of (I) is monoclinic, space group is P21/n, a=15.1327(5), b=14.9456(3), c=16.5175(5) Å, = 115.236(4), Z=4. Com- plex (I) is built from trimeric molecule [Cu (Mb)Cl2] linked through ππ interactions. The intermolecular short contacts in the tri- meric complex [Cu (Mb)Cl2] (I) (where Mb is methylene blue, methylthioninium cation) were studied by the Hirshfeld surface and fingerprint plot analysis...... Purpose: To observe the outcome of chemical corneal tattooing suffering from disfiguring corneal scar by using platinum chlo-ride and hydrazine hydrate. Methods: Eighteen patients who had no other measures for visual improvement, unable to use cosmetic contact lenses and unwilling to do enucleation but wanted cosmesis were included. Overlying epithelium of corneal scar were removed, freshly pre-pared 2% platinum chloride solution applied for 3 to 4 minutes followed by application of freshly prepared 2% hydrazine hydrate solution for 30 seconds resulting in jet black color. After washing with Ringer’s lactate solution bandage contact lens were applied and patched for 24 hours [1]...... ReadMore -

A series of Ir (III) complexes [Ir(F2ppy)2(neo)](PF6 ) (C1 ), [Ir(F2ppy)2 (biq)](PF6 ) (C2 ), [Ir(F2ppy)2 (dabiq)](PF6 ) (C3 ), [Ir(bzq)2 (- neo)](PF6 ) (C4 ), [Ir(bzq)2 (biq)](PF6 ) (C5 ), [Ir(bzq)2 (dabiq)](PF6 ) (C6 ), have been synthesized and their photophysical properties were investigated supported by theoretical calculations to propose emitters based on single complex or host-guest blend to potential applications in LEC devices. In acetonitrile, C1 and C4 showed emissions at higher energies (490-515 nm); C2 and C3 emitted λ580 nm, and C5 and C6 at low energy (λ615 nm). C1 reached the higher quantum yield (43%) and lower values (3-5%) were obtained with C5 and C6. The photophysical differences are consistent with cyclometalating and ancillary ligand natures, since both are involved in the triplet emitting states. The experimental..... ReadMore -

dustry, modern pro-duction needs new highly efficient and more environmentally acceptable catalysts, catalytic media, and solvents. Over the past few years, complexes of transition 3d-metals with nitrogen-containing cations of the composition (HL)n [MHal4 ] have attracted great interest in oil chemistry as new catalytic systems [1]. Tetrahalide complexes of copper (II) and cobalt (II) with 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride of the composition (2,3,5-ph3 Tz)2 [MCl4 ] [2] show high catalytic activity in the joint lowtemperature process of isomerization and dehydrocyclization of n-heptane. In the present work, the complexes are formed because of the interaction of hydro-chloric acid solutions of halometalates (II) with aqueous solutions. According to the X-Ray data, the presented coordination compounds have a crystal structure, in which eac..... ReadMore -

A new indole based chemosensor, 2-((5-bromo-1H-indol-2-yl) methylene) hydrazono) methyl)-4, 6-diiodophenol (BHDL) has been developed for the selective and sensitive detection of biogenic tryptamine and F‒ ions. The binding affinity of probe BHDL towards F‒/tryptamine (TryptA) has been investigated by UV-visible/fluorescence spectroscopy. In the presence of TryptA, probe exhibits strong enhancement in an emission band at 433 nm and the band at 555 nm underwent a blue shift accompanied by a decrease in intensity by the inhibition of Excited State Intramolecular Proton Transfer (ESIPT) functioned on BHDL. Interestingly, complexation with F‒ ions as well triggers an enhancement in a fluorescence band at 430 nm with the concomitant disappearance of the emission band at 555 nm due to the inhibition of ESIPT and deprotonation process initi..... Transient terahertz (THz) spectroscopy is a powerful non-contact, non-destructive technique for analysis of the photoinduced electronic properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). This technique allows measuring the photoinduced changes of the frequencydependent conductivity (photoconductivity) with a picosecond timescale. Thus, it makes this technique suitable for ultrafast processes occur in the nanotubes. Many important CNT parameters such as mobility, scattering rate, carrier concentration and a lifetime can be measured accurately using transient THz spectroscopy. The strong many-body interactions inherent in this material result in bright, dark excitons, trions coexistence with free charges and can be revealed using this technique. Therefore, in this perspective, we discuss the recent THz photoconductivity studies of CNTs. Carbon nanotube..... ReadMore -

Global interest of new consumption, nutrition trends, and market for dietary phytochemical functional supplements have greatly increased over recent decades. In which, commercially available food supplements based on microalgae such as Spirulina (Cyanobacteria) are becoming increasingly popular. Microalgae are rich in important nutritional phytochemicals such as phycocyanin novel protein in Spirulina, polyphenols, flavonoids, and vitamins, all which are known to positively impact human health. This review discusses the beneficial impacts of using microalgae and their phytochemicals in the different fields with their production limitation. Also, different recent analytical methods are highlighted to emphasize the trending of this very important approach which are directly related to the human health and the ..... ReadMore
