Canine Canine gastroenteritis represents one of the major presenting disorders in canine practice with challenges in its diagnosis and management. Its prognosis is reliant on the aetiology, severity of gastroenteritis, and response to treatment. Knowledge of factors influencing the course of this disorder is essential. This study evaluates prognosticators that can be utilised in predicting the clinical outcome and duration of management for dogs presenting with gastroenteritis. To achieve this, the clinical pathology profile of 104 dogs with gastroenteritis managed on outpatient was assayed using standard procedures. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive, Pearson’s correlation, and logistic regression model at α0.05 significance level...... ReadMore -

Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MTCD) is an uncommon systemic inflammatory rheumatic disease. MCTD is a specific subset of the broader category of rheumatic “overlapping syndromes,” a term used to describe when a patient has more than one characteristic of a classic inflammatory rheumatic disease. These classic rheumatic diseases include systemic lupus erythematosus, polymyositis, scleroderma, and rheumatoid arthritis. People with overlapping syndrome may, but do not need to meet the diagnostic criteria for one (or more) classic rheumatic diseases. MCTD is distinguished from other overlapping syndromes by a laboratory result: MCTD patients have rheumatic overlap syndrome plus anti-RNP antibodies. In addition, it has been suggested that the term “MCTD” be used to refer to patients with clinical feature..... ReadMore -

This article aimed to underline the importance of mentorship quality in biostatistics education in animal sciences. This aim pursues optimization in designing sound animal experiments and rigorous data analysis out of farm and laboratory experiments. In some parts of the world including Iran, animal science students and mentees learn statistics mainly from instructors that are not specialized in animal biosciences. As such, statistical reasoning for animal science students mostly relies on mathematics-based formulas without or with very limited biological and animal related descriptions and illustrations. As a result, education becomes irrelevant and mystifying. Teaching of biostatistics even by agricultural or plant breeding professionals does not help either because the topics covered are mo..... Humans were formed when their brains changed. They gained technical skills and lost communication skills. The result was violence far in excess of all other creatures and damage has been inflicted on everything from our planet to ourselves. At last, mass communication by technology may compensate for inherent inadequacy if we learn to manage ourselves...... ReadMore -

To identify the effect of risk factors on diabetic patients. a study was conducted among diabetic patients attending the outdoor at the Sheikh Zaid Hospital, Lahore. Data was collected by interviewing the patients using a structured questionnaire after the approval of synopsis. SPSS 23.0 was used for data entry and analysis. A sample of 100 respondents was selected by nonprobability convenient sampling. The risk factors were analyzed in a gender study of 100. Tabular form was used to represent the finding. Graphs shows the response of respondents. The Chi-Square test has been used to assess the statistical significance of risk factors for the diabetic patients. The check the normality of risk factors and then apply Mann-Whitney test to check the effect of each risk factor on diabetic patients w.r.t gender and marital status. The result fo..... ReadMore -

This paper aimed at discriminating between women that ovulate in shorter time than the expected twenty-eight (28) days, those that ovulate in the expected twenty-eight (28) days and those that ovulate in longer than the universally expected twentyeight (28) days. A total of two hundred (200) women in their reproductive age interval were selected for the study. Questionnaires were used to get the relevant information relating to their ovulation interval. The factors affecting ovulation considered in the study include Age, Height, Weight, Work Time (stress), Menstrual Duration, Number of Conceptions, Number of Births and Exposure to Sun. The three-way linear discriminant function was formulated for the data. Using the formulated functions, the women were classified and it was observed that the probability of misclassification into short ovu..... ReadMore -

In the present article, we are presenting the method of construction of block designs for Griffing’s complete diallel cross method (3) by using a complete set of (p-1) mutually orthogonal Latin squares, when p is a prime or a power of prime. The block designs for Griffing’s methods (3) are new and universally optimal in the sense of [1]. The block designs for methods (3) are orthogonally blocked designs. In an orthogonally blocked design, no loss of efficiency on the comparisons of interest is incurred due to blocking. The analysis of data obtained through proposed designs is presented. The analysis includes the analysis of variance, estimation of general combining ability, specific combining ability and reciprocal combining ability. The analysis is illustrated with the help of numerical data. Tables of universally optimal block desig..... ReadMore
