Abstract
A group of medical students and researchers from the Northeastern Region of Brazil produced this guideline, in order to provide
doctors or health teams who work in the so-called Brazilian Primary Care Programs as well as those professionals working in the
most remote interiors of the country. Guideline-based on current scientific evidence and adapted to the Brazilian reality, to help in
the treatment and recovery of the health of women affected by the pelvic inflammatory disease, especially those young, adolescent
patients with no access to information.
