Abstract
Professor Fifner’s article on “saline versus albumin fluid evaluation (SAFE) 2006 [1], concluding: “saline or albumin produces similar outcome”. In 1998 meta-analysis, albumin fared worse [2], justifying BMJ slogan “Why albumin may not work”. This is conflicting and perplexing. Professor Vincent
